Erick ‘N’ was the owner of the Tortugas Beach and Chulas Beach beach clubs in Cozumel, as well as a fleet of Jeep vehicles, among other businesses.
The man was killed on Thursday, September 7th, around 8 at night on Cozumel Airport Boulevard.
The deceased was identified as Erick ‘N’, a businessman and owner of two beach clubs and a car rental company.
Luis Alberto Taylor González, director of Public Safety and Transit, confirmed the murder of the businessman and assured that the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo is in charge of the case.
So far, the motive of the crime and the identity of the perpetrators are unknown.

Residents of the area who asked to remain anonymous, stated that the man was probably murdered for refusing to pay “protection fees”, commonly known in Mexico as “Derecho de Piso“.
