Two of the losers of Morena’s internal process -Adán Augusto López and Ricardo Monreal- joined Claudia Sheinbaum’s work team in view of the tour she will make around the country as Morena’s virtual candidate for the 2024 presidential elections.

Through her social networks, the former Head of Government informed that Adán Augusto López will join her work team as Political Coordinator; while Ricardo Monreal will join as Coordinator of Organization and Territorial Liaison.

Although it was tonight when Claudia Sheinbaum made the formal announcement, during the delivery of her certificate as coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, the Morenista announced that she asked her colleagues to accompany her on her new tour around the country.

The winner of the Morena process even joked that she already had tasks assigned to each of her colleagues with whom she competed for the presidential candidacy.

Hours before Claudia Sheinbaum’s announcement, many were surprised by Ricardo Monreal’s announcement that he was withdrawing his interest in becoming the head of the Mexico City Government.

In an interview, Monreal said he made the decision to join Sheinbaum’s project, who is the new leader of Morena after President Andrés Manuel López Obrador handed her the baton of office.

Regarding Adán Augusto López, his team met with Claudia Sheinbaum last weekend, where to the cry of “unity!” he pointed out that they are “soldiers” of the movement now headed by the official Morena 4T presidential candidate.
