Through TikTok, a tourist from England went viral after her boyfriend shared the moment in which she cried at a Jarana dance in downtown Merida.
‘My girlfriend is moved by the colors and traditions of Mexico,’ the English man says in the description of the video that depicts the tourist crying with Jarana music in the background.
The Jarana is a dance originating in Yucatan that is part of Mexican folklore, which is presented in nightly shows in the Historic Center of Merida.
The English tourist was so moved by the typical dance of Yucatan that she was moved to tears while watching the show in Santa Lucia Park.
On the same TikTok account, user @leonsancheztenor shared that the tourist from England was also amazed with the cenotes of Yucatán on her first visit.
The video shared on this social network has almost 100 thousand views and has generated several comments from more people who have been moved by regional spectacles of the Yucatan Peninsula.
