From the San Lázaro enclosure, which is the Lower House of Congress, Xóchitl Gálvez, a PAN senator and presidential candidate for the “Frente Amplio Por México“, criticzed the fifth report by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, and stated that Obrador betrayed the hope of Mexicans.
“They had everything to achieve the transformation of the nation, and make it a reality; they had overwhelming popular support, a legislative majority in both Chambers, they had all the political force, but they threw away their opportunity,” Xoçhitl Gálvez declared.
She said that Mexico has gotten worse, that the statistics on cartel-related violence do not lie, and that a new security strategy is urgently needed.
Gálvez is chosen by the “Frente Amplio Por México” Broad Front for Mexico, made up of the PAN, PRI and PRD, to be the presidential candidate for the 2024 elections.
