Yucatan State government strengthens fumigation actions against dengue mosquito

In total, 38,750 hectares have been covered, benefiting 1.5 million residents of Mérida and its surrounding areas, as well as the municipalities of Umán, Ticul, Valladolid, Kanasín, Tizimín, and Tekax.

From September 9 to 15, government brigades conducted a double sweep in these municipalities and will focus on other municipalities with high incidence in the coming months to protect the health of the people of Yucatán.

Mérida, Yucatán, September 15, 2023 – As a result of the strengthened fumigation efforts carried out by the Yucatán State Government, a total of 38,750 hectares have now been covered, benefiting nearly 1.5 million residents of Mérida and its surrounding areas, as well as the municipalities of Umán, Ticul, Valladolid, Kanasín, Tizimín, and Tekax.
