Everything is ready for the “Hanal Pixán 2023” festival to be held in Kanasín from October 27 to 29, whose main objective is to promote one of the most emblematic traditions for the inhabitants of the municipality and the state, which is the Day of the Dead.
“The Kanasín City Council, through the Directorate of Culture, has prepared a series of activities that will begin next Friday, october 27 and end on Sunday, with the main locations being the municipal cemetery, the main square and the basement of the Municipal Palace,” he indicated. “We invite the people of Kanasin, as well as people from other municipalities, to join us to enjoy everything we have prepared to remember, in a respectful way, the loved ones who have gone before us and those who “We remember each other with great affection,” said Edil.
He noted that “as an administration we are making a huge effort for ‘Hanal Pixán 2023’, an action that will also allow the different groups and associations of the municipality to demonstrate everything they have learned in recent months.”
“It is also an opportunity for us to demonstrate as a municipality that things have changed, that today Kanasín is different in every way, and that it is a place where people can spend pleasant and very fun moments in a safe way,” he indicated.
As part of the activities that have been prepared, for Friday, October 27, starting at 6 p.m., the cultural block “Joy and Death” will be held, in which students from the artistic group Ecos del Mayab will participate. Subsequently, at 7 p.m. the Exhibition of Altars will be inaugurated in the main square, in which the participation of educational institutions and organized civil society is expected.
On Saturday, October 28, the Paseo de las Ánimas will take place starting at 7 p.m., which will start at the municipal cemetery and end on the ground floor of the municipal palace. For this day, the participation of civil associations, artistic groups, older adults, members of the Kanasín City Council ballet, members of the Casa del Adulto Mayor, among others, is expected, in addition to the City Council inviting the entire population to participate on this day. on the Paseo de las Animas.
On Sunday, October 29, also starting at 7 p.m., Delirio Teatral will be presented with the participation of regional comedians “Dzereco” and “Nohoch.” It will be a stage performance in which the essence of hanal pixán is projected through theater through satire, plays, tragicomedy and elements of regional theater.
