An excellent end to the year is foreseen for the Yucatan tourism industry, starting with the Hanal Pixán festivities in the coming days, indicated Juan José Martín Pacheco, president of the State Hotels and Motels Association.
Martín Pacheco pointed out that due to the Hanal Pixán celebrations, there is an increase in hotel occupancy between 10 and 12% over what was already there for this month, which is between 45 and 47%, which will help have a good end of the month.
“We started with the Day of the dead holiday these days, which is an area of regional tourism for the tourist and economic industry of the State,” said the hotel leader.
“Most people come to the city from outside usually come for these dates when we have the Hanal Pixán and the events held in the city center by the City Council. The altars are a great attraction that the State has also been promoting gastronomically,” he noted.
Martín Pacheco commented that, according to the reservations made, they already have an additional increase between 10 and 12%, which would be added to the occupancy they already have this month.
