A young man died in the street, apparently during a robbery to which he had resisted, in Ticul.
According to preliminary reports, it appears that the now-deceased was the victim of a theft, but he resisted. The perpetrator shot him with a firearm.
After the attack, the aggressor fled the scene. The police implemented an operation to find the person or persons responsible for the incident.
Agents of the Municipal Police, the State Police, and the investigation police arrived at the scene, along with paramedics from the local corporation. They could do nothing for the unfortunate man.
The now deceased was a worker at the new Ticul hospital that is currently under construction but has not yet been identified, but it is said that he is a worker from the Estado de Mexico. A woman arrived at the scene and remained next to the body of the unfortunate man. She is his wife.
According to some testimonies, it would have been revenge, but this has not yet been confirmed. The man was murdered while waiting for his breakfast before going to work on the construction of the new hospital.
It was also mentioned at the scene that the now deceased was a contractor for that hospital and that he had been attacked because he had not paid the payroll to the workers for several weeks and that one of them complained to him and in the end shot him. The authorities have not given a version of the events.
