Tropical Storm Otis formed this Sunday, October 22nd, south of the coast of Oaxaca and is expected to move towards the coast in the next few days, but will it affect Yucatan and the Peninsula? This is what the National Meteorological Service (SMN) says.

According to the forecast for the next hours, this Tropical Cyclone will continue to move south of the coast of Oaxaca and will interact with the low pressure zone with probability of cyclonic development that will be located in the same area.

This will generate the probability of very heavy to heavy rains in the east, south and southeast of the country, in addition to heavy rains in the center of Mexico.

Rainfall of up to 50 millimeters is expected in Campeche and Quintana Roo, and 25 millimeters in Yucatan.
