With excitement and hugs, two friends met in person for the first time at Mérida Airport after a seven-year online friendship.

Blanca Galarza, originally from Monterrey, Nuevo León, and Abigail López met online seven years ago and have since built a strong friendship and communication through social media, along with a group of friends, both from the northern state and this part of the Yucatán Peninsula.

On Wednesday, October 4th, they finally met in person, and of course, thery were very excited to see each other.

A few days ago, Blanca surprised Abigail by telling her she was coming to Mérida to spend some days because she wanted to explore the cenotes of Homún and the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá, among other places she had heard about in Monterrey.
