AMLO says that at the end of his administration “almost all of Mexico” will have internet coverage. Will he fulfill his promise?
Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported on Thursday, November 16th, during his daily morning conference that by 2024 the country will have almost 100 percent internet coverage.
The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) would be the institution in charge of a company called CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos that will provide the service nationwide.
Currently, there is 94 percent internet coverage, according to the president after pointing out that “it is a revolution and progress continues with the participation of companies that already provide these services.”
