A terrible accident occurred on Friday, November 17th, around 8 in the morning right in front of the Centenario Park where a bus from the Caucel Route ended up inside the Zoo premises.

What happened was that a passenger bus from Route 89 in Ciudad Caucel was traveling on Avenida Itzáes heading towards the north and when it reached the intersection with traffic lights, it tried to stop since it had a red light and several vehicles were stopped. However, at that moment, the truck skidded due to the wet pavement, and the driver only had the option of steering to avoid hitting the cars.

After the maneuver, the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove it into the Centenario Park fence.

Fortunately, at that time no people were walking on the sidewalk nor were there any passengers in the bus either, so the only damage was to a planter and the cyclonic mesh fence.

Immediately, several police units and ambulances arrived, however, no injuries were reported.
