The Ministry of Health of Yucatán reported on the extension of the hours for the sale of alcohol during December so that throughout that month people can buy alcohol until 10 at night in stores and self-service stores.
The Official Gazette of Yucatán published that on Sundays in December the sale of alcohol will be allowed until 10 pm for businesses that sell and offer alcoholic beverages in closed containers. The rest of the year, on Sundays, stores are allowed to sell liquor until 5 in the afternoon.
Strictly this measure will apply on Sundays December 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2023, while during the rest of the week the sale of liquor and others will continue to maintain the permitted time limit, that is, at 10 in the evening. This measure has become a tradition in Yucatán to facilitate purchases in legally established businesses due to the number of parties on these December dates.
