The driver of a trailer died this November 17 in the morning after overturning his heavy vehicle and ending up trapped inside the cabin, on the Mérida-Cancún federal highway.
The accident occurred when the driver was traveling on that road, and upon reaching km 17, near the junction that leads to Sahé, he lost control of the steering wheel after dozing for a second, which caused him to leave the pavement to his right.
Due to the weight of the vehicle carrying tons of cement, it overturned until it was upside down and with the cabin crushed.
Agents of the state and municipal police arrived at the site and cordoned off the area to avoid another road accident.
Unfortunately, the driver ended up trapped in the cabin and lost his life, so emergency personnel were responsible for rescuing the body. Agents of the National Guard arrived to learn of the events while the coroner would arrive to remove the body.
