In recognition of the results obtained at the head of the state administration, the National Action Party has already ensured that the governor of Yucatán, Mauricio Vila Dosal, has a position in the Senate of the Republic, reports Asís Cano Cetina, state president of the political party.
“For the first time in its history,” adds the president of PAN Yucatán, “our party is guaranteeing that Governor Vila Dosal is part of the Senate that will be formed next year. This is because he will be part of the multi-member lists, in which he will appear as both as owner and substitute. This exception is made in recognition of their merits and results.”
According to Cano Cetina, in the next session of the Permanent Commission for National Action, Vila Dosal will be added to the multi-member list of owners for the Senate. In addition, the Yucatecan governor was already included in the formula as a substitute for the multi-member list made up of the National Commission of Electoral Processes of his party.
This ensures Mauricio Vila’s entry into the Senate. “The certainty of the presence of a character like Mauricio Vila in this process will make an important difference for the PAN since he is an example of the good governments of our party, focused on delivering results and working as a team. “The result of the governor’s work is endorsed by all Yucatecans.”
The mechanism to secure the seat in the Senate does not imply that Governor Vila Dosal has to request a license to campaign. Thus, he keeps his word to work until the last minute of his administration for the Yucatecans, explains the president of PAN Yucatán.
“When his administration ends, Mauricio Vila will continue transforming Yucatán from the Senate, where he will also work for all of Mexico. He wins the state and he wins the country.”
With this certainty, Cano Cetina concludes, Vila Dosal’s commitment to his party, the PAN, is also shown, in which he will continue to carry out his political work with the same determination that has always characterized him. The work done is the result of the present and the best letter of introduction of the next senator Vila. The PAN candidates will continue to have a key member of their team.
