Progreso, Yucatán on November 17, 2023. This week, Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi carried out a pilot test of a new tourist attraction that will get everyone pedaling, it is “Pedaltour”; a venture that will be providing Progreseños and visitors from all over, one more alternative to enjoy the benefits of the traditional boardwalk.
Accompanied by the head of Tourism, Luis Alberto García Barroso, as well as Gabriela Bautista and Yenny Izquierdo, young entrepreneurs from “Pedaltour”, the mayor took a walk around the boulevard to check the operation and the other services offered by this novelty.
According to its owners, “Pedaltour” offers two interesting tours; Malecón Route and Botanera Route, this consists of stops at some nearby restaurants, which means an important stimulus for the establishments on the malecón.
“We are very happy to see that young people like you are entrepreneurial and that you give Progreso the confidence to start your business; I wish you much success. I am sure that this alternative will be very fun for families from here in the port and those who visit us, and for restaurateurs an interesting way to attract diners,” encouraged Zacarías Curi.
Finally, “Pedaltour” also rents bicycles, has a souvenir shop, showers and restrooms, for more information on costs and schedules, its facilities are located on Calle 66 at 21 and 23 under the name “Peace Tours Yucatán”.
