MÉRIDA, YUCATAN.- November 9, 2023.- In what could be classified as one of the worst acts of animal cruelty in recent days, the report of several dead dogs was received by local authorities.
The alleged killing of several canines was reported in a subdivision located north of the Yucatecan capital.
Public Security agents reported that this happened on Calle 15 (between 26 and 28), in the Vista Alegre subdivision.
It turned out that a person was walking through the “Andador” park and felt a foul smell. He later approached the undergrowth and found three lifeless dogs, which had foam on their snouts, as if they were poisoned.
The citizen immediately called 911, and police officers arrived in a matter of minutes.
The authorities are already carrying out investigations to clarify responsibilities.
