Quintana Roo heads the national list with 42.7%
Of the works in the country that have to do with Transportation and Urbanization, 62.7 percent correspond to the Yucatan Peninsula, that is, about two thirds of the production, with Quintana Roo being the leader in the nation with 42.7 percent.
According to the results of the National Survey of Construction Companies (ENEC) on the behavior of the main variables of the country’s Construction sector, from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), until August of this year, Campeche covers 17.9 percent and Yucatán 2.1 percent.
In August 2023, the value of production generated by construction companies increased 5 percent in real terms, compared to last July; total employed personnel increased .9 percent; hours worked, one percent and real average salaries, 3.3 percent.
Inegi reported in a statement that in August 2023, in its monthly comparison and with figures adjusted for seasonality, the real average remunerations paid increased 3.3 percent.
Last June this report established that in the Transportation and Urbanization sector, Quintana Roo and Campeche covered 55 percent, but now they already have 60.6 percent.
In the Electricity and Telecommunications sector, Yucatán is in second place with 12.3 percent, after Nuevo León with 17.8 percent, and ahead of Baja California with 10.1 percent.
