The magistrate and her partner were found dead on Monday, November 13th, inside their house, located in the luxurious Punta del Cielo subdivision in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico.
The death of Jesús Ociel Baena Saucedo, magistrate of the Electoral Court of Aguascalientes; and his romantic partner, Dorian Herrera, became news of great relevance at the national level, not only because of the position he held or the circumstances in which their bodies were found, but also because of the speculation surrounding the lines of investigation and with This, the demands by the LGBT+ community and allies for the case to be investigated as a hate crime.
Jesús Ociel Baena was the first non-binary person to occupy a high-level position in the Electoral Court of Aguascalientes and to be recognized as a magistrate at the national level. For his part, Dorian Herrera worked away from politics and enjoyed traveling around the world.
Dorian Daniel Nava Herrera was 37 years old and originally from Aguascalientes. According to the description on his social networks, he did not hold any position in politics or in the Judiciary like his partner, since he worked as a lawyer.
On his Instagram and Facebook accounts, Dorian mainly highlights his social life and his taste for traveling the world.
His last one was on October 29, when he posted a photo of himself sitting on a plane.
On his Facebook account , Dorian Herrera has a greater number of publications, in which he boasts of his trips to cities such as Paris, San Francisco and Las Vegas, cars and other luxuries, as well as his participation in forums and events.
