Mérida, Yuc., November 7.- After allegedly discovering and confronting her boyfriend for being with another lady in a well-known bar located in the Periférico Norte of this city, a young woman jumped off the overpass.
The events occurred last weekend, outside a club located near the bridge that goes to the Francisco de Montejo subdivision, with a connection to the Las Américas subdivision.
According to witnesses, the terrible event occurred because a woman was fighting with her boyfriend, since she had ‘catch’ him with the partner at the club. Obviously upset, she confronted him and they began to exchange curse words.
For this reason, the waiters and security guards of the place took them out to continue their fight at another point.
In this way the trio went to continue their discussion in the streets near the Mérida peripheral.
But the ‘deceived’ woman was so angry and helpless that she decided to get on the bridge and stood on the shore, while her partner and the other girl were from below asking her not to do it.
But none of his words made her see reason, so the girl jumped off the bridge. While her partner ran to try to save her but she did not make it, hitting herself against the pavement.
The young woman’s state of health is unknown; Well, witnesses and acquaintances of the couple assure us that she lost her life and others say that she is hospitalized.
