The City of Mérida will host the first Business Summit of Leaders in Commerce, Services and Tourism – organized by the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur México) -. The event will bring together hundreds of entrepreneurs from all over the country to explore the latest trends in digitalization that are driving Mexico towards a more innovative and competitive future.
During the event, keynote conferences, panels and work sessions will be held in which key topics such as the digital transformation of companies, the digital economy, leadership of the future, artificial intelligence applied to business, innovation in activity, and tourism, among other topics will be addressed.
There will also be a National B2B Expo, which will be attended by companies from all over Mexico, offering spaces for networking and social activities that encourage interaction between participants and thus strengthen the business community.
The summit will be held from November 22 to 24 at the Yucatán International Congress Center, which was recently awarded during the seventh edition of the Heel Awards, organized by Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Chapter México, with the award for “Excellence in el mercado” thanks to its privileged location, a few meters from the hotel zone of the Center and its more than 9,200 square meters built under Leed Platinum certification on three levels, making it the only facility of its kind in Mexico.
In addition, a space for dialogue, learning and collaboration will be promoted in which the most effective strategies will be discussed to face the challenges of the Commerce, Services and Tourism sector, responsible for 60 percent of the national GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and the creation six out of every 10 formal jobs in Mexico.
“This Summit represents an important opportunity for business leaders in Commerce, Services and Tourism to connect, collaborate and prepare for the future,” explained the president of Concanaco Servytur, Héctor Tejada Shaar.
Michelle Fridman, Secretary of Tourism Promotion of Yucatán (Sefotur), highlighted that the destination is one of the most attractive for national and international investment, taking into account that Yucatán is one of the safest states in the country and specifically Mérida, which It is the second safest city on the American continent. She also pointed out that the state government and the private sector work so that the benefits of tourism extend to the towns that need it most.
“In Yucatán, the Government and the private sector have worked together to make tourism an activity that benefits Yucatecans. Governor Mauricio Vila has promoted and supported tourism projects in the region from the perspective that this noble industry influences in a transversal way the economy and social development of the Mayan people,” said Fridman.
It was reported that the participation of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Coordinator of the Defense Committees of the Fourth Transformation, and Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz, senator and representative of the Broad Front for Mexico, is contemplated; to actively participate in the discussion about the future of Mexico.
