Two vehicles were damaged after an electric power pole was “pulled out” of the ground by a truck that fell on them on Wednesday, December 13th, on 50th Street near 41st Street.

At the scene, a trailer that was traveling along 50th Street which, upon reaching the designated intersection, got stuck in some electricity cables and tightened them until the concrete post where they were attached broke, falling on two vehicles parked next to a park.

The truck stopped moving further ahead and called the insurance company. The police would determine if the responsibility for the incident fell on the unit or if the cables were too low.

People who work in the park also came to find out what happened, since the pole was inside the place. The street was closed for work and this caused traffic problems in the area since vehicles had to be diverted onto 41st Street.
