U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will visit Mexico for talks this week, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Monday, Dec. 4.
Speaking at a regular press conference, Lopez Obrador said he would meet Yellen during her visit.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported that the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, Janet Yellen, is scheduled to visit Mexico this December 7, for a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
“Yes, the Secretary of the Treasury is coming,” said López Obrador in his morning conference this Monday, December 4, at the National Palace.
“We still don’t know the agenda, but we are very pleased that she has decided to visit us, this comes from a meeting she had with the secretary of Hazando, with Rogelio Ramírez de la O.
“She is going to work on tax issues and I am going to receive Janet Yellen personally on Thursday, basically,” López Obrador concluded.
