Once again, an ATM to recharge Va y Ven public transport cards was vandalized. This time, the incident occurred under the bridge located at the exit to Xmatkuil, on the Anillo Periférico.

The incident, according to police sources, would have occurred in the early hours of the morning, so no one realized the situation until, in the morning, a user came to recharge his card and could not because the screen was broken.

He immediately informed the authorities, so a patrol assigned to the peripheral went to the scene, whose officer corroborated the report.

The ATM was secured by the police while waiting for the Public Ministry to carry out the corresponding work to find any clue that could lead to the person responsible for this act of vandalism.

The ATM is monitored by a security camera controlled by the police, so it is expected that the authorities will soon identify the person responsible to make them available to the competent authorities. As is known, this is not the first time this has happened; these types of ATMs have been the target of not only acts of vandalism but also theft.
