The Yucatan Transportation Agency (ATY) confirms that vehicles from the InDriver platform are being seized because it operates outside the regulatory framework, in addition to not having the minimum safety standards, putting the integrity of users at risk.

“The Government of Yucatán reiterates its commitment to sustainable, safe, and efficient mobility with gender and inclusive perspectives, so to protect the integrity and safety of all transport users, users are recommended to avoid using platforms not registered with the Yucatán Transportation Agency (ATY),” the authority reported.

InDriver drivers who were already affected by this vehicle retention, accuse a lengthy process to recover their cars, in addition to high fines.

Given this, the Agency was questioned, pointing out that, as part of its functions, it is in constant operation through the Inspection Department, where everything related to public transportation is generally verified, in particular, that drivers and their vehicles have with the correct documentation. Also, zero tolerance is implemented for units that do not have it or that do not comply with the corresponding guidelines by the law.”

In the case of digital platforms, the fines range from 2,593 to 51,870 pesos, in addition to sending the vehicle to the vehicle depot.

All this is to preserve quality standards, but above all, it saves and protects the integrity of users, the Agency insists.

For those who incur any offenses, the process before the ATY consists of going to the agency’s offices to appear about the facts using the guarantee of hearing and presentation of evidence.

Afterward, you must wait for the qualification and resolution of the violation ticket made, since if it is positive, the respective economic penalty determined in the Transportation Regulations is imposed, which is notified to them so that they can come to make the payment, and later document ownership of the vehicle.

At the end of this process, the agency issues a release letter so that the owner of the vehicle involved can continue with the Secretary of Public Security (SSP) with the relevant information for its release. The ATY reiterates the call to those who provide transportation services through digital platforms to adhere to the laws and Transportation Regulations, to guarantee that this service is provided in safe and dignified conditions, at the level of what Yucatecans deserve.
