For the second time this month, a plague of locusts invaded the city of Mérida, unleashing various comments among social network users, regarding the apocalypse.

On Thursday, December 14, nine days after the first sighting, another plague of locusts was captured in different parts of the state capital.

Areas such as La Mercedes Barrera, Amalia Solorzano, the Los Héroes subdivision, are where they were seen.

Mario Poot Pech, coordinator of the Campaign Against Locusts, explained that on this occasion it was a sleeve that managed to escape, since during the rains, the locusts begin to fly at dawn, making it difficult to control them.
