Juan Pablo UT, 30 years old, was arrested today by elements of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) assigned to the State Investigative Police (PEI).
He is accused of the crime of robbery with violence, committed on a bus on the Autoprogreso route.
The evidence collected by the agents of the PEI and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) shows that the individual boarded the transport in the Center of Mérida and that he would have taken advantage of a passenger’s distraction to snatch his cell phone.
The subject then got off the bus and ran in an unknown direction.
Based on the work of the investigating agents and prosecutors, the file was compiled with which the arrest warrant issued by a control judge was obtained.
The accused was placed at the disposal of the corresponding judicial authority.
