It’s official! The Mayan Train is ready to start operations on Saturday, December 16th
The Mayan Train will begin operations to the public this Saturday, December 16th, with departures at 7:00 and 11:00 hours from San Francisco de Campeche towards Cancun and back. I was announced by Federal authorities, that the train will reach maximum speeds of 120 kilometers per hour.
The 14 stations will allow the arrival of millions of tourists to discover the beautiful regions of Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
Each station has access, lobby, ticket box offices, commercial premises, recreation spaces, bathrooms, and large parking lots with a design that harmonizes with landscapes.
A total of 375 works related to the Maya Train were carried out, including the IE Tram transportation service, La Plancha Park, and Nuevo Uxmal Park, as part of the comprehensive Tourism development plan.
