Another case of a toddler suffering burns to the face and chest was recorded on Friday, December 22, at the San Manuel Km 11 community in Tizimin.

According to his 43-year-old grandmother María Magdalena Tuz Chan, Jesús Emanuel T.C, one and a half years old, dropped a container of boiling water on himself.

After what happened, the child was taken in a private vehicle to the San Carlos hospital. On the way, he was reached by a Red Cross ambulance.

Upon arriving at the hospital, around 7 p.m., the doctors were already waiting for the minor to provide him with the necessary care, and after a while the preliminary diagnosis was that he had second-degree burns on his face and chest.

The child’s mother showed up at the scene; the teenager Blanca Isela Tus Chan, 15 years old. So far this month this is the third case of children suffering burns in the municipality; the first in Colonia Yucatán; then another in  El Cuyo and now in San Manuel Km 11.
