Wood production companies obtained a certification that allows them to guarantee the quality of their products, as well as their processes.
In this regard, the president of the National Chamber of the Wood Industry (Canainma), Edgardo Martínez Duarte, stated that it is the first time that various local companies are trained to streamline their processes, based on sustainability, as well as their productive chain. , so that it is guaranteed that all the wood they use has a certificate of origin from sustainable forestry.
“There are 18 logging companies that were certified in sustainability and processes and were attending talks for five months that, through a competency survey, in each of the workshops, in each of the factories, we were able to gather their areas of opportunity and today “They already have this certification,” he said.
Likewise, he said that efficient processes are promoted, through higher technology than that of its competitors, with renewal of machinery and greater efficiency in processes and energy.
It is expected that in 2024 there will be more generations of certifications for local companies.
