Artists celebrate 100 years of Disney as part of the Merida Fest 2024

The “100 Years Disney Anniversary” concert will bring together more than 50 artists and musicians with the Children and Youth Orchestra of the Mérida City Council, the City Choir and the Chamber Orchestra. 17 Disney-themed songs will be heard; Eduardo Manrique Zaldívar, Russell Montañez Coronado and Malú Farías will be directors at the Paseo de Montejo Remate.

The same Sunday arrives the musical project “Intis” with Miguel Hiroshi & Leonardo Prakash, and “From my pen, the songs. The secret is to dance”, by José Antoni Ceballos, a compilation of songs written by the musician that will be performed by Aeda Fernández, Malena Cardeña, David Cavazos, Javier Alcalá, Mauricio Zoreda and Felipe de la Cruz.

Fey will sing to Mérida

To close the first weekend of celebrations, the 482nd anniversary of Mérida, the Mexican singer Fey will fill the rhythms of the pop genre and her new musical production in the Plaza Grande.

Starting Monday the 8th you can enjoy the installation “Infrastructures. Codes of urban space” by José Luis Gil Bolio and Isaac Zambra, in the Parque de la Paz. This is an audiovisual installation to experience urban abstractions of Mérida.

Chinese Week

That same week, the activities of China Week 2024, the International Poetry Meeting and the Regional Rounds will also be underway.

The celebrations of the 482nd anniversary of Mérida will begin

Other premiere production shows, selected in the Mérida Fest call, will be presented “Heritages, Yahal Kab 45 years of music”; “Tiempo de azARTE” with SilkaTeatro Andante and Running with Lobas, and “Conejo Eléctrico and the Brass Funkers”. Other projects are also presented in the promotion modality, such as the plays “Images of my soul”, by Ritual Teatro and Teatro del Sueño, and “Manuelita, alma de mis amores”, by Xhail Espadas.
