During the morning of this Friday, the residents of the Vicente Guerrero neighborhood were surprised by the presence of numerous vehicles from the Army, National Guard, among other federal agencies.

When they left their homes in the morning they realized that 37th Street between 110 and 112 was already secured, as ministerial agents were taking charge of a property at that location where narcotics were allegedly being searched.

At the moment, no details have been released about the results of the investigations, about the seizure of any substance or the arrest of any person; As in the last operations, the entire procedure is kept under great secrecy.

Neighbors who have witnessed the mobilization indicated that the operation began at 3 in the morning, it caused great surprise and, until now, no one knows who owns the property where the search ocurred.

This is the first operation of this type carried out in Progreso so far this year. In 2023, several similar actions were carried out, mainly in the first months of the year, and, sometimes, up to 2 were carried out in the same month.

The last one recorded in 2023 occurred on December 13 on 37th Street between 56 and 54 in the Francisco I. Madero neighborhood. Furthermore, in December two anti-piracy operations were registered in this port, one in a shoe store in the city center and another in a store selling products of Asian origin.
