The arrest occurred while those now detained were exchanging multiple transparent plastic bags with marijuana for money. When they noticed the police presence, they tried to flee the scene but were arrested on the spot.
According to SSC reports, the detainees had in their possession 198 doses of marijuana and 113 doses of a crystal-like substance. In addition, a blue Volkswagen Vento vehicle with Mexico City license plates was seized.
It is speculated that these individuals are also linked to the recent thefts of luxurious Rolex watches in Tulum. The investigation is still ongoing to clarify their alleged participation in these crimes.
