Tourists from Estado de Mexico open this year’s list of mishapsincidents on the Kinchil-Celestún road

CELESTUN, Yuc., January 4, 2024 – A family of tourists from the State of Mexico opened this year’s list in terms of mishaps in the infamous Kinchil-Celestún, when they were returning aboard an Aveo vehicle, one of the front tires was punctured, causing the driver to lose control of the car.

This is how the New Year is welcomed on the Kinchil-Celestún road, so, if you’re planning to drive around the area don’t exceed the speed limits and drive defensively.

It was learned that tourists from the State of Mexico who were traveling aboard a rented Aveo car with a Quintana Roo license plate (URN936K) had a flat tire causing them to leave this road at km 51.

This is actually the second transit event on the Mérida-Celestún, as another accident took place on January 3, 2024. Fortunately, nobody was injured in these two accidents.
