This Friday, January 26, an intense police and firefighter mobilization was recorded in the Juan Pablo II neighborhood of Mérida, where a female person climbed to the top of a high-voltage tower on Paseo Verde.
The woman remained in the tower for an hour and a half, where she climbed despite the authorities trying to dissuade her from doing so.
Firefighters and elements of the SSP were ready to act in the area where a woman climbed a tower in Mérida.
Elements from the Specialized Unit for the Prevention of Family and Gender Violence (Uniprev), Firefighters, and the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) went to the scene and cordoned off the area.
The agents asked her on several occasions to get down, but the woman refused and, according to reports, threatened to jump from above. A psychologist from Uniprev tried to talk to the woman, whom she called Alondra, but she refused and only responded with insults.
After moments of tension, at around 4:30 in the afternoon, Alondra began to descend from the structure while the authorities were waiting for her below, who received her and took her in for interrogation.
