Proud of his Yucatecan roots, designer David Salomón comes with everything to enchant with his “NUA Fashion Show” collection at the Mérida Fest 2024.
Taking place in the Parque de la Paz, the Yucatecan community and those who have accompanied the designer throughout his fruitful career in fashion will be able to enjoy a collection, with more than 50 garments, made of 90% linen, inspired by a new type of woman who seeks to be comfortable, while still being glamorous.
Accompanied by the Director of Culture, Irving Berlin Villafaña, in a meeting with the media at the Arcano restaurant, David Salomón shared details of the collection, which will be presented this Saturday, January 20, starting at 8:00 p.m.
For David Salomón, the NUA collection is very special since it emerged at a key moment that affected the planet: the pandemic.
The collection has two aspects: the basic line, which is essential garments in the women’s wardrobe, and another very special line inspired by the most iconic garments from the designer’s archives and which he has presented on magazine covers, Fashion Week Mexico, and on album covers. celebrities that he has had to dress.
David considers that the fabrics he works with are what give him the guidelines for what he will present in each collection.
He thanked the Mérida City Council, headed by Mayor Alejandro Ruz Castro, for the invitation to share his art.
