A man had to be pulled out of a well by police officers in Kinchil, Yucatán

José Dagoberto RQ, 55, from Kinchil, Yucatán, ended up at the bottom of his relatives’ well when he was allegedly trying to get some water to drink.

Dagoberto, who had been drinking, was wandering in the yard of his relatives, whose property is located on 18th Street between 23rd and 25th Street in downtown, Kinchil.

The heat and the desire to quench his thirst caused the man to slip and fall to the bottom of the well about 3 and a half meters (15 feet) deep, and so one of his family members immediately called 911.

In the end, Municipal Police officers used a rope and proceeded to rescue the 55-year-old man. Luckily he only suffered minor injuries and the presence of paramedics was not necessary.
