Electoral campaigns officially start on March 1st.

According to the National Electoral Institute (INE), the campaign period will formally begin on March 1. Despite the electoral restrictions, President López Obrador has stated that he will continue with his morning conferences, where he will not stop addressing political issues.

In addition, the president will launch a scheme of “private tours”, featuring visits to different states across the country, which will hardly go unnoticed by the media and citizens who seek to come into contact with him during his tours.

It should be noted during this time, his morning conferences will remain on air through social networks, official channels of the Government of Mexico and Cepropie .

On Monday, February 26rh, López Obrador made it clear that, despite the electoral restrictions, he will not stop talking about politics in his morning conferences.

He says he “has the right” to talk about politics without addressing electoral matters.
