On February 29, López Obrador will travel to Quintana Roo to inaugurate section 5 South, Cancún -Playa del Carmen.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will tour the southeast of the country to supervise and inaugurate federal works, including the Cancún-Playa del Carmen section of the Mayan Train, before the start of electoral campaigns on March 1.
In addition, he will carry out work visits in several states, holding private meetings and focusing on the supervision of works, as announced this Tuesday, Feb. 27 during his morning conference from the National Palace.
During the electoral ban and in parallel with the campaigns, President López Obrador will tour throughout Mexico, dedicating himself to supervising works in progress, such as highway projects, infrastructure, and especially the inauguration of works.

Obrador will begin his tour today Tuesday, February 27 in San Luis Potosí, where he will visit a plant that previously belonged to the Spanish Energy company Iberdrola.
On Wednesday, Feb. 28th, AMLO will travel to Yucatán for the inauguration of the Chichén Itzá museum, and on Thursday, Feb. 29th, the president will travel to Quintana Roo for the inauguration of the Cancún-Playa del Carmen section 5 of the Maya Train.
López Obrador also assured that he would respect the freedom of voting of Mexicans in the next elections and again denounced “dirty war” campaigns against him.
