Jesús Ortiz Paz, the lead voice of the band Fuerza Régida was arrested in Mexicali, Baja California. According to reports from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), he is accused of trying to enter Mexican territory carrying marijuana with him.
In the early hours of February 4, the arrest of Jesús Ortiz Paz, known for his interpretation of “Qué onda” took place in the border city of Mexicali. The singer tried to cross customs at Garita Uno, also known as Garita Centro, in Mexicali, aboard a vehicle with his companions.
According to local media, the young 26-year-old musician was approached by agents of the National Guard, who noticed that he was allegedly carrying a product distributed in cigarettes and plastic bags, along with a jar containing marijuana.
Ortiz Paz was in the company of three singers and composers of “Corridos Tumbados” identified as Édgar Eduardo ‘N’, Ángel Eduardo ‘N’ and José Francisco López ‘N’ .
The arrest was made under crimes against health, for the introduction of illegal narcotics, which is why Ortiz is under the custody of the FGR, waiting for his legal situation to be determined by the corresponding authorities.
