Guatemalan airline seeks to “connect” the Mayan World

Marcela Toriello, CEO of TagAirlines, a Guatemalan airline, committed to strengthening the connectivity of her country of origin with the entire Mayan World, a region made up of the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, and Yucatán.

During their participation in the Madrid Tourism Fair 2024 (Fitur), it emphasized that it seeks to strengthen alliances with strategic partners to consolidate its role as the airline of the “Mayan World.”

Toriello held working meetings with tourism sector authorities from various countries, with tour operators, issuing wholesalers, strategic commercial partners, and representatives of airlines and international organizations.

“TagAirlines is committed to strengthening air connectivity between Guatemala and the main tourist destinations of the Mayan World by offering a unique multi-destination option in the region,” said the CEO.

He said that the cultural, natural, and archaeological attractions and gastronomy of the Mayan World enjoy great prestige among international travelers who choose this region as a travel destination. The work agenda in Madrid included meetings with directors of the Spanish company Iberia, Summerwind, Air Europa, Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), and with different tour operators and issuing wholesalers.
