As a compilation of anecdotes from his personal life and political career, as well as individual memories of a shared memory that tell how together in Yucatán we achieved goals that until a few years ago seemed distant and unattainable, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, together with journalist Leonardo Curzio Gutiérrez, presented his book “A story of change and transformation.”
In the auditorium of the Marist University of Mérida, the Governor led the presentation of his copy of memoirs, where he shares various moments that have marked his life, from his childhood to the present, with great emphasis on the career that he has consolidated in the politics and how we Yucatecans have built a history based on teamwork, facing great challenges such as the pandemic.
When talking about the book, Curzio Gutiérrez pointed out that the country does not have many effective governments, so having a book with the experiences of Vila Dosal is notable for several reasons, one of them is because it is about the Governor who heads the list of rulers in Mexico.
The political analyst highlighted that the copy captures very well the strategic, but above all unitary, vision that has characterized it since it has put aside polarization and politicization and at all times has maintained the view as a whole.
The book consists of 270 pages, and is divided into 21 chapters, covering from the author’s childhood to the present. Its structure is composed of the main narrative, by Vila Dosal, and textual anecdotes from family, friends and collaborators; The interventions of his wife, Maru Ortiz Abraham, and his first work circle stand out.
