Yucatecan Senator Jorge Carlos Ramírez Marín announced that he will soon sign a collaboration agreement with the company Huawei, to certify talented young Yucatecans in the field of computing, and thus provide them with an opportunity for job development.

During the working meeting with senior managers of the Huawei company, before the World Mobile Telephony Congress, held in Barcelona, Spain, it was announced that more than one thousand young low-income college students would be considered for this certification.

Young Yucatecan professionals will obtain a certification that allows them to work in the computer field with the highest standards, and they can aspire to important financial remunerations.

Huawei managers reported that in the coming months, they will carry out recruitment work for young people who wish to obtain this important certification.

For his part, the director of Institutional Relations of Huawei Mexico, Adolfo Yin, highlighted that “it is essential that technology is made available to everyone, and for our company, it is a pride to collaborate with projects like this, which will benefit people who deserve and need an opportunity.”

He thanked the federal legislator for the management carried out, given that “Yucatan is a land rich in human resources, that is, young people with talent in the field of technology.”

The Senator guaranteed that “young Yucatecans are highly qualified, in most cases, they have experience, but the cost of certifications makes it a little difficult for talented people to access them, especially those with limited economic resources.”

He stressed that technology has to be at the service of human beings, it must be prevented from being a factor of division or inequality.

He thanked Huawei for the opportunity and the trust in the Senate of the Republic, and said: “I am sure that the consolidation of the agreement will be very beneficial for Yucatán, so I will continue looking for more employment opportunities for all Yucatecans”.

Finally, he commented that he will be one of the speakers at the World Mobile Telephony Congress, as president of the Science and Technology Commission of the Senate of the Republic.
