During a search in Dzidzantún, polic officers seized several bags of drugs, such as: 50 bags with crystal, 15 with grass and a blister with psychotropic pills.

Three subjects were arrested in an anti-drug search that took place early in the day in a property located on the corner of 6th and 25th Street, in the East side of Dzidzantún, very close to an educational facility. The property served as a center for the distribution of illicit substances that harm health.

Around 5:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2nd, agents from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), with the support of marine officers and the K9 canine unit, arrived at this address to carry out this operation where JETC, alias “Elis,” DATY, alias “Jefri” and LMMC, were detained where substances such as Marijuana, crystal and psychotropic drugs were seized.

During the operation, this section was closed to carry out the corresponding investigations and prevent the passage of curious people who wanted to observe the event that left the entire neighborhood stunned. Even those in charge of drinking water did not have access to enter to connect the drinking water pumps that were close to the cordoned off place, leaving the town for several early hours of the day without this service.

During the search work, the federal agents seized 50 zip-lock bags with the substance known as Crystal, 15 transparent bags with herb, a blister with psychotropic pills, a gramera scale and a package of transparent bags that was used for preparation and dosage of these substances that threaten health.

In 2023, more than three federal anti-drug searches were carried out in this town, which came out positive for these substances harmful to health. This is the first to be held during the second month of this year.

The three detainees were transferred to the facilities of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to remain at the disposal of the Public Ministry for the determination of responsibilities by a judge.
