Through a press release, the Autonomous University of Yucatán (UADY) announced the signing of a collaboration agreement with the Infrastructure Administrator in the Peninsula, Civil Association, which operates the Paseo 60 Cultural and Commercial Corridor, for the mutual dissemination of the artistic or cultural activities and events that both organizations carry out.
The dean of UADY, Carlos Alberto Estrada Pinto, stated that in his visits to the different schools he has been surprised because he has found a large number of people who have a talent for the arts, music, singing, and other artistic expressions.
“Today, when the signing of this agreement is finally achieved, it is important to highlight that our students and staff will have the opportunity to express their artistic abilities on a stage as important as Paseo 60,” he stressed.
In his turn, Víctor Manuel Abraham Palomo, owner of Paseo 60, thanked the support received from the UADY authorities for the completion of this project.
“Paseo 60 is a cultural corridor where the best of Yucatan art and culture is recognized and given space: designers, singers, musicians, the best of local talent,” he said.
Finally, he mentioned that this alliance will bring with it many surprises and events in collaboration with the University, because “at Paseo 60 we are happy to welcome all the UADY talent.”
Regarding the activities to be carried out, Aureliano Martínez Castillo, general director of University Linkage, announced that the first will be a project called “UADY Canta” (Uady sings), an event that will be open to the entire university community in which Paseo 60 will host the qualifying rounds.
“The call for UADY Canta will be available next week and at the University we are sure that this event will be a success,” he reiterated.
