State authorities are carrying out procedures at the IMSS “Ignacio García Téllez” hospital where a dead male nurse was found on March 27 in the morning.

Until now the cause of death is unknown, but it is known that the worker at this same hospital was on the night shift and had to leave at 8 in the morning, but around 9 o’clock he was found by one of his colleagues in one of the bathrooms located in the general admission area.

The nurse’s colleagues would have tried to help him, however, they confirmed that the young man, about 30 years old and identified as Carlos M. P., no longer had vital signs.

The area where the body was found was secured and the state authorities were informed and began the pertinent investigations.

It was also unofficially found out that the deceased consumed illegal substances, and that he took advantage of his position as a surgical nurse to obtain medications that he used as part of his addiction.

It was not the first time that someone had found him unconscious and, according to police sources, they had already saved his life before, but on this occasion, he had suffered a fatal overdose.

Ministerial authorities of Yucatán carried out the procedures at the hospital and were in charge of removing the body and transferring it to carry out the corresponding autopsy protocol, through which the exact cause of death would be determined. Until this afternoon, the hospital authorities had not given an official version of what happened.
