Where to buy and how much do tickets cost?
The Maya Train has begun to provide passenger service from Playa del Carmen to Cancun. This Friday, March 15th marks the beginning of operations, with ticket sales both online and at the box office.
This March 15, the Mayan Train made its first official trip carrying passengers from Playa del Carmen bound for Cancun, departing at 10:30 in the morning with users who had previously purchased their tickets.
With the opening of the station in Playa del Carmen, an important milestone has been launched in the implementation of this railway project for the Southeast area of the country.
Ticket sales are available both online, through the official Mayan Train website, as well as at the ticket office.
On the official website https://reservas.ventaboletostrenmaya.com.mx/, users can select schedules, number of passengers, seats and travel dates.
Available routes include stops in Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos and Cancun Airport. It should be noted that all trips have a mandatory stop in Puerto Morelos.
Ticket prices vary depending on the passenger category:
- Special Tourist: 78.50 Mexican pesos.
- Local Tourist: 98.50 Mexican pesos.
- National Tourist: 148.00 Mexican pesos.
- International Tourist: 197.00 Mexican pesos.
In addition to the online option, tickets can also be purchased at physical ticket offices. However, availability and applicable discounts will be subject to the conditions established by the company.
