New book on Yucatecan gastronomy, to be presented at the Soumaya Museum

Museo Soumaya of Grupo Carso will host the presentation of the book “Valladolid, the gastronomic capital of Yucatán”, published by the Larousse label. The event will take place next Thursday, March 21 in Mexico City.

 This publication is the product of an initiative of the Valladolid Restaurant Association, to promote, both nationally and internationally, the richness of Valladolid and Yucatecan cuisine, for the benefit of attracting tourism and economic growth in the region, entity.

The creation of the content of the work was in charge of the renowned exponents of Mexican gastronomy, Chef Ricardo Muñoz Zurita and the photographer Ignacio Urquiza. As a result, the book combines text and images to captivate readers with the wide culinary offerings of Valladolid and Yucatán.

After the announcement of the presentation of “Valladolid, gastronomic capital of Yucatán”, the president of ARVAY A.C., Jordy Abraham Martínez, stated: “We are very pleased that the Soumaya Museum is the venue for this important event, we hope, represents a before and after in the promotion of Valladolid cuisine. “We chose this place because it is one of the great references for artistic and cultural dissemination in the country.”

Regarding the call for the book presentation, Abraham Martínez added: “Of course, all people who wish to attend are cordially invited. The event is free and will take place on Thursday, March 21 at 4 pm in the Soumaya Museum auditorium. We are convinced that this project will attract the attention of many people who are fond of gastronomy.”
