The official reiterated that, as part of these actions to renew units and modernize the passenger transportation service, “Yucatán at the end of this year we are going to have more than 100 electrical units operating, which makes us one of the states, if not the state with the highest number of electrical units in the country.”

Hernández Kotasek said, “this was the route to the North that we were missing with a greater number of people.” He added that along with Las Américas and Santa Gertruidis Copó, this new Gran Plaza-Montes de Amé route, “are the ones that move a little more” of passengers. This is called Route 64, Gran Plaza and Montes de Ame, the trajectory leaves the bus stop which is at 52nd street between 61th and 63rd, and takes a bit of the Pérez Ponce Avenue towards Prolongación Montejo shortly before the Monument to Gran Plaza, to travel through the part of Montes de Ame, makes a circuit there and exits through the same course,” he explained.
