With the delivery of the new transfer units, which took place at the Municipal Police facilities, Mayor Alejandro Ruz Castro indicated that the City Council carries out actions consistent with the actions of a humanist Government and as an act of social justice for the inhabitants of the rural areas of Mérida.
Likewise, he stressed that, in the case of park rangers, it is fair to recognize the great work they do and the citizen commitment that already highlights them as synonymous with surveillance and security they are well appreciated and valued by the residents of the parks where they operate.
When presiding over the delivery of new transfer units to the Municipal Police and the uniforms and certificates for 5 years of service to the Park Rangers, Ruz Castro indicated that this act takes on special interest as it deals with the agents that safeguard the health and social peace of the citizenship.
The municipal president recalled that to date, Mérida has six generations of Park Rangers made up of 148 elements, who protect 72 parks and more than 150 public spaces that are carefully monitored.
